The Novation Circuit Rhythm builds on the design and the success of the Novation Circuit groovebox/synthesizer, with this version optimised to work with samples. The Circuit Rhythm provides the ability to incorporate your own samples and manipulate them using chopping, resampling and much more. Whether you're cutting up a loop for your next beat battle or are prepping your next live performance, the Circuit Rhythm can do it all!

The familiar layout is similar to that of other Circuit grooveboxes, with intuitive controls that make it easier than ever to sample and create. The 32 backlit velocity-sensitive pads allow you to create, sequence and manipulate your samples with ease. There are also 10 rotary encoders that help you sculpt your sound further including controls for both HP/LP filters, as well as Slope, Tune, Distortion, Resonance, Sample Length and Sample Start.

From the studio to the stage, the Circuit Rhythm provides you with Grid FX turning the groovebox into the ultimate performance tool. Using Grid FX you can do everything from beat repeats to vinyl simulation for in-depth sound shaping. Adding to its versatility, you can even use the Circuit Rhythm as a standard USB-MIDI controller for working with sounds in your chosen music software.

Breathing new life into beatmaking – firmware version 2.0

Introducing the latest firmware update for the Novation Circuit Rhythm, version 2.0 features a whole host of new features, upgrades and enhancements designed with beatmakers in mind. One of these new and exciting features is ‘Beat Match- which allows you to speed/slow down samples to get them in time with your session – great for sampling drum breaks. You can now also record samples that match the BPM/time of your project with ‘Fixed Length Recording’. Select your sample recording time using the ‘Sample Record View’ allowing you to set the time in steps via the sequencer.

The Grid FX section has been updated and is now editable, allowing you to control grid FX parameters directly from the Circuit Rhythm itself. The control section has been updated to be more intuitive, now storing mute track states within ‘Scenes’ so you can easily arrange your tracks without having empty patterns in your project. Taking feedback from the Circuit Rhythm community, Novation has improved the design of the original as well as consistently updating their sample packs (available online). The new Novation 30th anniversary packs are now available which include 500 genre-defying sounds to inspire your creativity.

Sample, remix, filter and create!

Building on the success of the original Novation Circuit (and Circuit Tracks) the Circuit Rhythm tackles the rhythmic and sampling aspect of music, giving you all the tools you need to create something new. Incorporate your own samples or even record samples directly to the Circuit using a turntable or other media player. Once recorded/imported you can manipulate the samples using the wide range of filters, modulation and studio-grade effects.

You can even resample sounds, perfect for lo-fi musicians and hip-hop producers. Whether you're chopping up breaks from a forgotten vinyl record or punching in basslines using the velocity-sensitive pads, the Circuit Rhythm puts you in full control at every step. You can filter your sounds using the LP/HP Filter and add cutting-edge effects via the Grid FX - perfect for live performances.

Standalone, portable design

Unlike most synthesizers and drum machines the Novation Circuit can be used in a standalone mode and be powered by the built-in rechargeable battery. Without even touching a laptop you can create whole songs.
